KimberleyRiver Socks
Casual/Dress Socks
Made here in New Zealand using the Highest Quality spun 20.5 Micron 100% Merino
Wool - you’ll find this quality of Merino hard to find in a retail stores.
Made with a wide band at the top of the sock, to avoid pinching and pressure problems.
While this sock was not made specifically for people with diabetes, we do have many
diabetics who purchase this sock due to its wide ban and loose top.
We have used wool from one of the World’s leading Italian Spinners and while we
cannot guarantee that it’s New Zealand Merino, our spinner sources their raw wool
from New Zealand and Australia.
We would have loved to have used a New Zealand Spun Wool, unfortunately these days
the majority of this type of New Zealand Wool is now spun in Asia, and we feel if
you want the Unparalleled Quality for your dollar, then the Italians are amongst
the top spinners of Fine Merino Wools in the World.
100% Merino Simply means that we have used a single strand of 100% Merino Wool then
added the smallest portion of Lycra and Nylon we could, many socks now contain a
single strand of yarn that is a blend of 2 or more different fibre types (Wool Nylon
or Wool Acrylic), this is mainly done to increase the wearability of the Sock, however
this decreases the performance of the Sock in areas such a breath ability, wicking
and Moisture Control. Our number 1 priority is the wearer should be as comfortable
as possible.
A sock specifically made for comfort, good for everyday wear, or the traveling businessperson.
With the added benefit of being able to be quickly warm tumble dried.
